An apartment with a small floor area and an excellent use of space. The integration of the terrace with the interior and the connection between the environments were the guiding principles for the project’s concept. The careful selection of materials and furniture created a unified design language and a dialogue among all the spaces. Concrete, reclaimed wood, and metal are the main elements. The reinterpretation of some of these materials was part of the concept, such as the truck tarp used for the headboard and the gas piping used for the dining room light fixture.

In addition to the materials, the custom-designed pieces we created exclusively for this apartment—the metal shelving unit and the bench—play a key role. The dining bench transforms into a desk, while the open metal shelving visually connects the living room to the bedroom. The woodwork panels also serve an important function: the service area is hidden behind them, avoiding the need to leave it exposed.
